Buying your report from Burbank's Records Bureau
When Burbank police take your collision report, you have two ways to get it. The Burbank Police Department sells reports online through LexisNexis, and the city asks you to wait at least four days after the crash so the department can review and approve the report first. Or you can go to the Records Bureau counter at 200 N. Third Street. The city lists the front lobby as open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fees apply, and the online option adds a convenience fee. Video is a separate request. The city says traffic camera footage is handled through its Traffic Engineering Department, not the Records Bureau, and lists that office at 150 N. Third Street, phone (818) 238-3953. Ask early. Camera footage is not kept forever, and a request made weeks later may come up empty.
Crashes on freeways inside Burbank are generally investigated by the California Highway Patrol rather than city police, so confirm which agency responded before you ask for a report.
When the airport authority, not the city, is the public agency
Hollywood Burbank Airport is at 2627 N. Hollywood Way, and it is not run by the City of Burbank alone. The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority manages it. The airport's website says the authority is a public agency, created in 1977 under a joint powers agreement among the cities of Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena for the purpose of managing the airport.
